PassivHausMaine's "Site-Walk" featured the AmstutzHayes family's Ridgeline Passive House. The house certainly earns its Ridgeline name sitting on the side of a good sized hill overlooking Casco Bay. Over twenty people got a chance to walk through the site and see for themselves what Passive House construction is all about.
Our Ecocor crew assembled the shell components in a little over a week, making the structure ready for the roofing crew to install the EPDM roofing. Windows and doors are installed and Ridgeline is ready to be buttoned up for the fit and finish. Beating ol' man winter's arrival.
Owner, designer and general contractor Andrew Hayes had good words to say for the knowledge and aid of PassivHausMaine. He truly achieved his goal of enhancing the dwellers relationship with nature. We appreciate being part of the team and wish Ann, Andrew and their family the very best in their new Passive House!
