Our long time featured architect Richard Pedranti of RPA Architects worked with the homeowners to design the prefabricated Passive House of their dreams. The homeowners valued the superior quality and customization Solsken by Ecocor offered.
Customizations include the addition of the Ecocor SuperRoof, which employs the same healthy, high performance materials as the Ecocor SuperWall, while cost-effectively increasing living space.
In addition, the homeowners added a shared office space and a screened-in porch off the living room. A top deck will sit outside the master bedroom. The couple expanded the master bedroom by eliminating the den featured in the turnkey design. The space from the den allowed for a larger, more open master bathroom.
“Richard told us, the homeowners were interested in the Solsken by Ecocor home because the prefabricated design was customizable,” said Christian Corson, of Ecocor. “Not only is the home customized to their specifications, it is built to the exacting energy-efficiency standards of Passive House. The homeowners will not only live in a home with amazing energy efficiency - it is a home that is healthy, comfortable and long-lasting too.”
The two and a half story house is 3,510 square feet and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The house panels were manufactured in Ecocor’s facility in Searsmont, Maine. Veteran carpenters assemble the house panels using advanced production equipment, so accurate it meets specifications within 1/32 of an inch.
Our Morse Court project was featured in an issue of Maine Homes by Down East Magazine.
We’re happy to announce another Passive House from our Solsken by Ecocor line will be leaving the factory soon. The panelized components will be shipped to Long Island, NY where it will be assembled by our team of building professionals and made ready for the final fit and finish.
